ACC - HAVE A HMMM
Have a hmmm. Changing behaviour around risk taking.
New Zealand has a population of 5 million. ACC (the government run Accident Compensation Corporation) deals with around 2 million injury claims every year – around 90% of which could have been prevented. So they ran a campaign encouraging people to ‘Have a hmmm’ and take a moment to consider the consequences of taking unnecessary risk. It’s not just you who gets hurt, others around you get impacted. Over half of people who saw the campaign state they have taken steps to avoid risk, with a majority thinking about the impact of their actions. The heavily supported campaign has run for 3 years and is still evolving.
